Valve has confirmed that Android titles are now officially supported on SteamOS, allowing developers to publish their Android or Meta Quest VR APKs directly to the platform without creating a separate version. Valve has also implemented its Proton compatibility layer to enhance the gaming experience on Steam. They are launching a developer kit program to help developers port their games.

Square Enix has announced that support for Final Fantasy 14 on Windows 10 will end on October 14. Players may still access the game after this date, but issues related to the operating system may not receive assistance. The company acknowledged the difficulties in maintaining support for Windows 10 and indicated that technical support might be available on a case-by-case basis. Final Fantasy 14 was released on PC in 2013 and has received numerous updates over the years. Square Enix has adopted a multiplatform release strategy, following a successful port to Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, Final Fantasy 11 continues to receive updates and maintains a strong player base.

Stellar Blade has become the most successful single-player game from Sony on Steam, achieving a peak of 192,078 concurrent players. It has outperformed other notable titles such as The Last of Us Part 1 (39,496 players), The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered (30,690 users), God of War (83,529 users), and God of War Ragnarök (35,615 users). While Helldivers 2 holds the record for PlayStation-launched games on Steam with 458,709 concurrent users, it is a multiplayer game. Prior to its release on June 11th, Stellar Blade ranked as the sixth highest-grossing game on Steam in pre-orders. Herman Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, mentioned a cautious strategy for expanding first-party titles to the PC market. Sony has also faced challenges, including layoffs at its Bend Studio after canceling an unannounced live-service title.

Ubisoft has announced that several of its game franchises, including Assassin's Creed Shadows, are now available for purchase on the Xbox PC app. Previously, players could only access Ubisoft games through PC Game Pass without the option to buy them outright. The Xbox Play Anywhere feature does not allow cross-access between the Xbox PC app and Xbox Series X|S console. Players must link their Xbox and Ubisoft accounts to use Ubisoft Connect for these games. The launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows includes a "Stream Your Own Game" feature via Xbox Cloud Gaming for console version purchasers.
