Microsoft has released a new CrowdStrike recovery tool with two repair options for Windows clients, servers, and operating systems hosted on Hyper-V. Option one uses the Windows PE recovery environment and does not require local admin privileges. Option two may enable recovery on BitLocker-enabled devices without requiring the entry of BitLocker recovery keys. Admins need a Windows 64-bit client with at least 8GB of free space, administrative privileges, and a USB drive to create the recovery boot media. Users are advised to test the tool on multiple devices before using it in a live operating environment.
