Slack communicated at 12:26 p.m. EST that it was investigating issues related to workflows, threads, messaging, and API features. By 3:34 p.m. EST, the company identified the root cause of the outages but warned that some users might still face difficulties. Users reported challenges with logging in, messaging, apps, integrations, APIs, and workflows, but there were no issues with notifications, search functions, file sharing, huddles, workspace administration, or canvases by 3:05 p.m. EST. Slack, owned by Salesforce since 2020, has over 200,000 paid customers globally. Salesforce acquired Slack for .7 billion, marking its largest acquisition at that time.
