Callum is engaged in Pokémon Nuzlockes on Pokémon Black and White, with a character named Bazooka, and is preparing for revenge against a trainer named Timmy. Mark is concluding his Atomfall playthrough and plans to play Dirt Rally 2.0, Automobilista 2, and revisit Starfield after its updates. Edwin has been sent outdoors to reconnect with nature after his last adventure and is expected to return to normal by teatime on Tuesday. Jeremy has returned from family outings in London and Paris and is busy completing a secret upcoming game for a walkthrough, while also enjoying Franco-Belgium comics. Ollie has escaped the Maw but needs time to recuperate after an encounter with Edwin. Julian anticipates a busy weekend due to a stag do but looks forward to playing strategy games afterward.

Android XR brings app pinning, resume, & auto-spatialization to Galaxy XR

Google is updating Android XR for Galaxy XR users, introducing features such as the ability to pin apps to virtual walls, which allows for practical applications like keeping a calendar app next to an office desk. The headset will also automatically restore the previous session with all apps and layouts. Users can see their hands through passthrough cameras while interacting with virtual content, enhancing the sense of presence. An auto-spatialization feature transforms apps, games, websites, images, and videos into 3D experiences. There are now over 100 apps designed for XR, including Real VR Fishing, Trombone Champ: Unflattened!, and the PSG Immersion app for live game experiences. The update also includes enhancements in hand tracking, eye tracking, and accessibility.

Windows 11 now supports display refresh rates up to 5,000Hz after its latest update — Here’s why that matters for everyone, not just gamers

The update aims to support refresh rates up to 5,000 Hz, aligning with trends in hardware development, including reports of 2,000 Hz displays expected by 2030. Additionally, the update introduced "rich image descriptions" for Copilot and Copilot+ PCs using the Narrator feature and improved the design of dialog boxes in the Accounts settings menu. It is applicable to Windows 11 versions 25H2, 24H2, and 26H1.

SU students dominate the world of Minecraft

SU E-Sports organized a Minecraft Build Battle competition on February 20, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Charlie’s Lounge, allowing walk-in participants without prior registration. A bake sale was held on February 12 in Lower Deg to fund the event, featuring Minecraft-themed treats. Participants had one minute to select building blocks and three minutes to construct designated structures over eleven rounds. Notable builds included a cow, cat, headphones, desk, apple, soda, pizza, Freddy Fazbear, treehouse, car, and flower. Jason Petersen won at least three rounds, including the cow, headphones, and desk builds. Other winners included Tommy Wright for the cat build and Malichite Merenda for the apple build. The event fostered creativity and community spirit within SU E-Sports.
