In pet management, skill points are collected through experience points (XP) gained by riding pets. Mr. Pigginton earns XP from being ridden, while Sir Oinksly, a diamond rarity pet, receives a +1 XP boost. After riding Sir Oinksly, he reached level five, granting the owner their first skill point.

Microsoft tests Auto SR, its AI upscaler for Xbox and Windows gaming

Microsoft has introduced a preview of Auto SR, an AI-driven upscaling technology for Xbox Insiders using the ROG Xbox Ally X handheld. This feature upgrades game output from 720p to 1440p and increases frame rates by about 30% in docked mode. Auto SR operates at the OS level, requiring no developer patches, but is limited to games that support DirectX 11 and 12, excluding titles using DirectX 9, Vulkan, and OpenGL. Currently, it is available only for the ROG Xbox Ally X and Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X chips, and the preview is invite-only and docked mode only. Early feedback indicates some user interface artifacts and a battery drain of 8–12% on the Ally X. A broader rollout for Windows began on April 30, 2026, but no specific consumer launch date has been announced. Auto SR is not intended for the upcoming Project Helix Xbox console, which will use AMD FSR Diamond instead.

The update includes an optimized performance test for APX SHA3 for Intel Diamond Rapids and Nova Lake processors, support for Turing 4.6 and 12.3-inch LCD displays, compatibility with Intel Core Ultra 250K Plus and 270K Plus, enhanced support for Intel Wildcat Lake and Nova Lake processors, preliminary support for AMD Zen 6 architecture APUs, support for Aqua Computer Ampinel and Thermal Grizzly WireView Pro II sensors, extended support for Adaptec RAID controllers, USB-NVMe pass-through support for Realtek RTL9220 controllers, support for EXPO 1.2 memory profiles, and detailed GPU information for Intel Arc Pro B65 and B70 as well as NVIDIA RTX Pro 4500 Blackwell Server Edition. New Valorant update brings ranked to Skirmish, and introduces the Kuronami 2.0 collection for skin aficionados

Riot Games is launching Season 2026 Act 3 of Valorant, introducing a ranked queue for the Skirmish mode called Skirmish: Ascension. This mode features solo or duo matches with specific restrictions, allowing each agent to use only one ability. The agents and their abilities include Jett (Tailwind), Waylay (Refract), Chamber (Rendezvous), Cypher (Cyber Cage), Omen (Shrouded Step), Phoenix (Curve Ball), Yoru (Clone), Iso (Contingency), Sage (Barrier Orb), Raze (Blast Pack), Vyse (Arc Rose), KAY/O (Flash/Drive), Breach (Flashpoint), and Veto (Crosscut). Matches will consist of ten rounds with different weapon phases. Players need both a Riot and FTW account to participate, and rankings will be based on win-loss ratios and opponent skill levels. Titles will be awarded based on rank, with 'Skirmish Competitors' for Gold to Platinum, 'Skirmish Expert' for Diamond to Immortal, and 'Skirmish Radiant' for top players. Additionally, Kuronami 2.0 will launch with new skins for various weapons and a melee weapon that transforms between a kunai and katana, alongside a battlepass featuring the Keys to Elysium Vandal.

SPRINT RACER has five new custom tracks created by Goodbros148 and ReflectedMantis. TRIDENT DOME has been overhauled with a new lobby, NPCs, an updated map, and a supers mechanic. Bug fixes have been implemented across various games. Popular titles like Antitheist, Pizza Time!, Snowy Skirmish 2: Avalanche, and Witch Doesn’t Belong have returned to Realms. New users can try Realms free for 30 days.
