The Task Manager in Windows is being enhanced to provide more detailed information about available disks, including the Bus type (e.g., NVMe or SATA). A feature currently being tested in Insider Beta build 22635.4225 will allow users to see disk types labeled next to each disk, such as SSD (NVMe). This improvement contrasts with the current version, which only identifies disks as SSDs without specifying the type. Additionally, there is a request for Microsoft to include temperature readings for disks and CPUs in the Task Manager, as this information is currently not available and requires users to access it through the Settings app or third-party applications.
