I couldn’t survive the Mörk Borg PC game for more than five minutes

7 features that still make World of Warcraft awesome for relative newcomers like me in 2026 — as Blizzard Entertainment celebrates its 35th anniversary

September 2026 will mark the 35th anniversary of Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft was launched in 2004, and the author initially avoided it due to social reservations. In 2024, the author embraced the game during the Mists of Pandaria Remix event. World of Warcraft features a fast-paced Tab-Target combat system and epic Raid dungeons with challenging bosses. The Mists of Pandaria Remix event allowed players to revisit past expansions, leading to the introduction of the Legion Remix event. The game offers a diverse range of playable Races and Classes, and recent updates have increased solo-friendly content, such as Delves in The War Within. Endgame content includes cosmetic hunting, gear customization, and various activities. The author is involved with the Tree of Hope Guild, enhancing their multiplayer experience. World of Warcraft: Midnight is set to release on March 3, 2026.

Slipknot’s Clown built fantasy ‘Minecraft’ realm to help him grieve

Hytale Early Access Review So Far

Hytale, developed by former Minecraft modders, is a survival crafting game that serves as a spiritual successor to Minecraft. Movement is enhanced with the ability to jump higher and utilize parkour mechanics. The game runs smoothly on high-performance systems, maintaining framerates above 60 even at maximum draw distance. Hytale features an engaging combat system with various weapon types and a diverse range of enemies. Building mechanics offer a broader selection of components, though some classic techniques may become obsolete. The Early Access version currently lacks clear direction, with the main hub area under construction and exploration revealing barriers in dungeons. Overall, Hytale presents thoughtful enhancements and a refreshing take on the survival crafting genre.

Long-Awaited Minecraft-Like MMO Hytale Launches in Early Access and Seemingly Registers Big Player Numbers Right Away

The game has reportedly seen a high rate of new players, although initial claims of 2.8 million users were debunked due to server issues. The development team revitalized a dormant build in eight weeks, addressing core systems and bugs. Exploration Mode features an infinite, procedurally generated world with biomes, structures, and creatures, allowing players to explore, craft, and engage in multiplayer experiences. Creative Mode offers building tools and specialized entity tools. Modding support is available from day one, with partnerships for robust content creation. Hytale supports multiplayer across all modes and plans to introduce Adventure Mode, official Minigames, and social features. There are future plans for console launches and consideration of a mobile version.

Mounts of Mayhem: Dungeon Descent add-on

The spear has become the preferred tool over the pickaxe, and spear training dummies are introduced for practice. These dummies come in four variations: Skeleton, Drowned, Zombie, and Husk. After practicing, players can participate in The Spear Trials, a randomly generated dungeon that tests spear skills with obstacles and hidden vases containing saddle charms. Mining is not an option in the dungeons. Additionally, "Mounts of Mayhem: Dungeon Descent" is available in the Marketplace, requiring the latest version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
