This Majora’s Mask port now supports mods, and more recompiled N64 games are coming

The N64: Recompiled tool has been updated by Wiseguy, making it easier to create native ports of N64 games. The latest update improves the renderer, allowing N64 games to run at full speed with 4K texture packs even on older hardware. Mod-supporting ports of various games are coming soon, with the ability for modders to change virtually anything in the game. Currently, Zelda 64: Recompiled supports Majora's Mask, with Ocarina of Time on the way. Other recomps for games like Kirby 64, Quest 64, and Banjo-Kazooie are also in progress.

My favorite SSH clients for Android – and why you need them

Users can access Linux machines on a local area network using SSH commands from an Android phone, with various applications available on the Google Play Store. 1. JuiceSSH is a popular SSH client for Android that features font size adjustment, identity management, automatic script execution, plugins, themes, and external keyboard support. The Pro version offers additional features for a one-time fee of .99. 2. Termius is another SSH client that provides cloud-based encrypted storage for connection configurations, a connection manager, SSH key authentication, and SFTP support. The Pro version includes advanced features and requires account setup, but the app is free with optional in-app purchases. 3. Termux serves as a terminal emulator that allows users to run Linux commands, including SSH, after installing the openssh package. It is free to install and use. 4. ConnectBot is an open-source SSH client that offers a clean interface, color categories, font size customization, SSH key authentication, and persistent connections across multiple machines. It is also free to install and use. Recent updates to Android enable users to access a full Linux environment and install SSH using the command apt install openssh-client.

Driveclub can now run on PC via the PS4 emulator, shadPS4

In October 2024, shadPS4 successfully booted the PS4 racing game Driveclub, which can now enter the game environment due to advancements with shadPS4Plus. Currently, Driveclub operates at approximately 38 frames per second (FPS) on a system with an Intel Core i5 3600KF and an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti, but significant visual glitches remain, making it not fully playable. There is optimism that continued development could eventually achieve a smooth 60FPS experience on high-end PCs. Other PS4-exclusive titles like inFamous: Second Son and The Last Guardian are also not yet playable, while Godzilla 2014 shows more promise in rendering graphics. If development continues at the current pace, players might enjoy Driveclub by the end of 2025.
