The Steam Winter Sale kicks off with deals on some of 2025’s biggest games

The Steam Winter Sale has officially started, offering significant discounts on popular titles of 2025, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is now half its original price. The Steam Awards nominees have been announced, and voting is open until the sale ends, with winners revealed on January 3, 2026. The year-end Replay feature shows that only 14% of playtime was on new releases. Other platforms, such as the Epic Games Store and GOG, are also running sales, with Epic offering a holiday game giveaway of 17 free games. The Steam Winter Sale will run until January 2 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

Epic Games Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2025 Sale

Epic Games will hold its Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale from November 18, 2025, at 11 AM ET until December 2, 2025, at 11 AM ET, offering discounts of up to 80% on premium, deluxe, and complete editions of popular PC games. Featured titles include Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition, Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition, HITMAN World of Assassination Deluxe Edition, and Dying Light: The Beast Deluxe Edition, among others. Epic Games launches webshop service on PC and mobile

Epic Games has launched the Epic Web Shops service for PC and mobile platforms, enabling developers to monetize in-game content through self-publishing tools. Developers retain 100% of their first million in net revenue per title, transitioning to an 88/12 revenue split thereafter. Players earn Epic Rewards on purchases, and Web Shops will be featured on product pages. The service will be integrated into the Epic Game Store mobile app later this year, and developers must have a registered Epic Games Developer account to create a Web Shop. The service supports consumable sales but excludes Web3 games. Codename Entertainment has launched a live Web Shop for its game, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.

Epic Games introduces a webshop service available on both PC and mobile platforms

Developers can keep all earnings from their first million in net revenue, after which the revenue split is 88% for developers and 12% for Epic. Purchases through the Web Shops will earn players Epic Rewards. The Web Shops will be featured on product pages under a 'Web Shop' tab on PCs, with mobile support expected later this year. The service supports consumable sales but not Web3 games. Codename Entertainment is the first to implement a live Web Shop with their game, Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms.

Civilization 6 Platinum Edition goes free to kick off Epic’s 2025 Summer Sale

The Epic Games Store's 2025 Summer Sale has launched, featuring discounted titles and a free giveaway of the Civilization 6 Platinum Edition, which includes the base game, the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions, and six DLC packs. The Platinum Edition is available for free until July 24, while the sale runs until August 1. Other discounted games include It Takes Two, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Alan Wake Remastered, Far Cry 5, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, and Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition. The Epic Rewards program allows users to earn rewards on purchases that can be used for future discounts.

It’s begun! Epic is giving away 16 free PC games this holiday season

The Epic Games Store has launched its annual winter sale, offering a total of 16 free PC games throughout the event. The first free game is The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria, available until 8 AM on December 19. The winter sale will last until 11 AM on January 9, 2025, and includes a ten percent reward on all purchases, up from the usual five percent.
