New Valorant update brings ranked to Skirmish, and introduces the Kuronami 2.0 collection for skin aficionados

Riot Games is launching Season 2026 Act 3 of Valorant, introducing a ranked queue for the Skirmish mode called Skirmish: Ascension. This mode features solo or duo matches with specific restrictions, allowing each agent to use only one ability. The agents and their abilities include Jett (Tailwind), Waylay (Refract), Chamber (Rendezvous), Cypher (Cyber Cage), Omen (Shrouded Step), Phoenix (Curve Ball), Yoru (Clone), Iso (Contingency), Sage (Barrier Orb), Raze (Blast Pack), Vyse (Arc Rose), KAY/O (Flash/Drive), Breach (Flashpoint), and Veto (Crosscut). Matches will consist of ten rounds with different weapon phases. Players need both a Riot and FTW account to participate, and rankings will be based on win-loss ratios and opponent skill levels. Titles will be awarded based on rank, with 'Skirmish Competitors' for Gold to Platinum, 'Skirmish Expert' for Diamond to Immortal, and 'Skirmish Radiant' for top players. Additionally, Kuronami 2.0 will launch with new skins for various weapons and a melee weapon that transforms between a kunai and katana, alongside a battlepass featuring the Keys to Elysium Vandal.
