How to Integrate Unity ARCore Geospatial Into a Native Android App

The integration of AR capabilities into an app using Unity involves several steps. Initially, a Geospatial sample project is created in Unity, starting as a 3D project and switching the platform to Android. Key steps include downloading and importing the Cesium and ARCore Extensions packages, setting project settings for Android, enabling Google ARCore, and configuring API keys. For 3D model integration, a model is selected from the Unity Store, positioned correctly on the map using AR Geospatial Creator Anchor, and adjustments are made for visibility. Animation is added through an Animator Controller, and potential build issues may require adjustments in Unity preferences. When importing Unity as a library into an Android project, the minSdk version must align with Unity settings, and resolved libraries should be deleted to avoid complications. The unityLibrary is included in the project’s settings.gradle file, and modifications to build.gradle files may be necessary to resolve NDK visibility issues. A missing string resource can cause crashes, which can be fixed by adding a string to strings.xml.

Five Ad Blocker Hacks Every Android User Should Know

Ads are prevalent on Android devices, leading users to choose between enduring them or paying for premium subscriptions. BlockAds is a free, open-source app that blocks ads on Android by creating a local VPN, filtering traffic without requiring device rooting. Users can also employ DNS filtering to block ads by changing their DNS server settings, with services like AdGuard and NextDNS available for this purpose. Firefox supports the uBlock Origin extension for ad-blocking on Android, while NewPipe allows users to watch YouTube videos ad-free and access premium features. The DuckDuckGo browser includes a built-in YouTube ad blocker, and the Brave browser automatically blocks ads and trackers without additional setup.

uBlock Origin finally broke for me on Microsoft Edge, so I switched to Brave

Microsoft Edge users recently experienced a significant change as advertisements flooded the interface following the discontinuation of support for the uBlock Origin ad-blocking extension. This shift resulted from the transition away from Manifest Version 2 (MV2) extensions to Manifest Version 3 (MV3), which diminishes the effectiveness of ad blockers. As a result, users are considering alternative solutions or switching browsers. Brave has emerged as a viable option, maintaining support for MV2 extensions and offering effective ad-blocking features through its Brave Shields. Users can selectively block elements easily, although it lacks some features of uBlock Origin. The author plans to use Brave Shields for browsing while keeping the option to revert to uBlock Origin if needed.

Microsoft’s most useful Windows toolkit turns 30 this year, and it still doesn’t ship with Windows 11

A fresh installation of Microsoft Windows 11 includes features like Copilot but lacks certain user control tools. The Sysinternals suite, maintained by Microsoft since its acquisition in 2006, consists of over 70 utilities and has received regular updates since its establishment in 1996. Notable updates include a modern interface for DebugView and enhanced support for startup apps in Autoruns. Sysinternals tools, such as Process Explorer and Autoruns, offer advanced functionality compared to standard Windows tools. Microsoft is integrating some Sysinternals utilities into PowerToys, starting with ZoomIt, and Sysmon has been introduced in Windows 11 Insider builds. Users have expressed interest in further integration of Sysinternals tools, particularly Process Explorer.

How to Remove a Keylogger: 12 Steps, 60 Min [2026]

A keylogger captures every keystroke made on a device and sends that information to an external source. In 2025, infostealer malware, including keyloggers, resulted in the theft of 642.4 million credentials from 13.2 million infections globally. In Australia, approximately 30,000 banking passwords were compromised between 2021 and 2025 due to this malware. The Australian Cyber Security Centre reported over 42,500 calls related to credential theft in one year, a 16% increase. Four main malware families dominate the landscape, with LummaC2 accounting for nearly 60% of credentials linked to infostealers in 2026. Keyloggers can be detected through signs such as typing lag, unexpected antivirus notifications, new browser extensions, and unexplained spikes in outbound data usage. Detection and removal steps include checking running processes, auditing startup programs, reviewing installed programs, running antivirus scans, and resetting passwords from a clean device. Keyloggers can infiltrate systems via phishing emails, malicious attachments, or compromised software downloads. Mobile devices can also be targeted by keyloggers disguised as legitimate apps.

Microsoft’s research boss reveals why Windows 11 features don’t show up, and his fix half works

Windows 11 has introduced new features such as a resizable Start menu, a movable taskbar, and the option to remove Bing from Windows Search. Users report not seeing significant changes after updates, leading to frustration. Marcus Ash, the design and research lead for Windows & Devices, acknowledged this issue, explaining that features may not appear immediately due to gradual rollouts. Users can enable the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option, but this does not guarantee instant access to new features. The September 2026 update includes a movable taskbar, a smaller taskbar option, and the ability to disable Bing results in Windows Search, though immediate visibility of these changes is not assured. Microsoft is also testing new features with Windows Insiders, including a customization tool for the context menu, enhanced File Explorer performance, a reduction in memory footprint for devices with 8GB RAM and above, a new WinUI-based Run dialog, a revamped Properties dialog, a redesigned pop-up for connected drives, the ability to remap the Copilot key, and improvements to Bluetooth connections and headset calls.

Microsoft Confirms Windows 11 Speed Fixes Are Coming to All Users

Windows 11 users have experienced delays in File Explorer and the Start menu since the operating system's launch in 2021. Recent reports from Windows Insiders indicate significant improvements in system responsiveness, confirmed by Marcus Ash from Microsoft, who stated that these enhancements will be rolled out to all users by fall 2026. Recent cumulative updates have addressed issues like File Explorer lag and Start menu stuttering, with specific updates (KB5120998, KB5095093, and KB5089573) improving responsiveness and reducing micro-stutters. Enhancements to the taskbar, Start menu, and context menus are also being developed, including taskbar repositioning and streamlined context menus. Users on the 25H2 version can expect these improvements through cumulative updates before the 26H2 update this fall. Keeping Windows Update active will ensure access to these enhancements.
