On June 12, many users faced difficulties accessing Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, with reports starting around 10 a.m. Downdetector indicated nearly 85,000 users were affected, peaking at approximately 123,000 reports at 9:48 a.m. Around 3,000 users also reported problems with Instagram, and Messenger users encountered a 404 error. Some Facebook users experienced a query error due to the platform's inability to retrieve data from Meta's servers. Meta acknowledged "high disruptions," particularly with Facebook Ads Manager, and stated that their engineering teams are working on resolving the issues, though there is no timeline for full restoration.
