Marvel and Scopely are collaborating on a new co-op mobile game codenamed Project Comet, featuring action-packed gameplay, co-op modes, and gacha systems.
Windows 11 has introduced the Low Latency Profile to enhance the responsiveness of the Start menu, Search, and Action Center by rapidly increasing CPU frequency during user interactions. Testing on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M700 Mini Desktop with a 6th Generation Intel Core i3-6100 processor showed that the Low Latency Profile could be activated via the June 2026 Patch Tuesday update (KB5094126) and the third-party tool ViVeTool. Initially, no significant CPU frequency spike was observed, but after enabling the feature, the CPU frequency increased from approximately 800MHz to 3.0GHz and then to 3.7GHz almost instantaneously during interactions. This resulted in a marked improvement in the responsiveness of the Start menu and Action Center, with the latter showing the most significant enhancement. The Low Latency Profile effectively improved performance on older systems without adverse effects on battery life or thermal output.

Google has rolled out the "Neural Expressive" design in its Gemini app, aiming to enhance interaction across mobile apps and browsers while integrating with Android's smart functionalities. Users have expressed concerns about usability, noting that the new thinner typography affects readability and that intuitive features have been altered, leading to confusion. The model selector has been moved to the top of the interface, and attachment options are now combined with creation tools, complicating navigation. The account switcher has been relocated from the top right corner to the bottom of a side panel, making account transitions more cumbersome. Despite these issues, users appreciate the fluid animations, vibrant color schemes, improved haptic feedback, and a more responsive microphone in the app. There is a call for Google to prioritize intuitive design and user-friendly navigation over aesthetic changes that disrupt established workflows.
Microsoft has confirmed the upcoming Windows 11 26H2 feature update, set to roll out in fall 2026, likely in October. This update will not be a major overhaul and will utilize an enablement package (eKB) for installation, similar to the previous Windows 11 25H2 version. The last major update was the 24H2 version, released on October 1, 2024, while 25H2 launched in 2025 and reset the OS life cycle, extending support by an additional year. Support for Windows 11 24H2 ends on October 13, 2026, and for 25H2 until October 12, 2027. Windows 11 26H2 will be supported until October 2028 for Home, Pro, Pro EDU, and Pro for Workstations editions, and until October 2029 for Enterprise, Education, or IoT Enterprise editions. Devices running Windows 11 24H2 or 25H2 will transition to 26H2 without new hardware requirements, maintaining specifications of 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, and a 1GHz or faster 64-bit dual-core processor. Windows 11 26H1, another update, requires new silicon but does not introduce exclusive features. Major changes will be delivered through monthly cumulative updates rather than annual feature updates.
Private Space is a privacy feature available on Pixel and select Android devices, while Secure Folder is exclusive to Samsung devices. Both create a secure area within the smartphone for sensitive applications and data storage, operating independently from the primary user profile. Users can install apps and store files in these secure spaces without compromising their main profile's integrity.
To activate Private Space, users navigate to Settings > Security and Privacy > Private Space, requiring a Google Account sign-in and a unique lock. For Samsung devices, the path is Settings > Security and Privacy > More Security Settings > Secure Folder, requiring a Samsung account.
Private Space cannot be used on managed devices or with supervised accounts, and only the primary user can manage these secure areas. The Private Space or Secure Folder icon can be hidden for added security.
The private area is distinctly separated from the core user profile, preventing open communication between the two spaces to safeguard against data harvesting. Android allows granular control over app permissions, and users are advised to isolate questionable apps within Private Space or Secure Folder to protect sensitive information.
Google Password Manager is easy to set up but can be restrictive in sharing vaults, exporting data, and transitioning to different platforms, leading users to seek third-party password managers for better flexibility and control. A recent poll indicated the reasons users consider alternatives: 34% for more privacy and security, 22% for better cross-platform support, 18% for more control over data, 6% for advanced features, 3% for better sharing options, and 17% would not switch.

Microsoft has confirmed the rollout of Windows 11 version 26H2, with build 26300.8697 now available for testing in the experimental Insider channel. This version will be delivered through an enablement package over the existing Windows 11 25H2.
