This developer squeezed a full Minecraft server onto an ESP32, and it actually works

A developer named angelthebox has created a Minecraft server called Macerun that runs on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller, using Minecraft version 1.16.5 rewritten in C. Key features include the ability for players to join the server, explore the world, place and break blocks, procedural world chunk generation, basic crafting mechanics with 2x2 recipes, in-game chat, and tracking of basic physics, health, and hunger. Changes to blocks are saved to the chip's flash memory. However, the server lacks mobs, 3x3 crafting recipes, and the ability to retain player inventories and positions after exiting. Hytale Hires the Creators of Minecraft’s Create Mod

One of the Best Legend of Zelda Games Is Getting a PC Port

A dedicated development team, linifadomra, is working on a PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess titled "Courage Reborn." They recently showcased a playable version of the Ordon Village section, demonstrating that the game is designed to run at a native 60 frames per second. The demo features functioning core systems, including NPC interactions, combat mechanics, and horseback riding. The game will support keyboard and mouse setups as well as controller configurations, and will be compatible with PC, Mac, and Linux platforms. The main menu will offer new graphical options for customization. The project has been in development since 2025, and while significant progress has been made, it remains incomplete, with no release date announced. Players will need a ROM of the original GameCube version to run the PC port.

Microsoft Overhauls Windows Insider Program To Fix Channel And Feature Rollout Confusion

Microsoft has revamped the Windows Insider Program by streamlining it from three channels to two: Experimental and Beta. Experimental replaces the Dev and Canary channels, allowing users to test new features immediately, while Beta provides a more stable preview of major updates. The program now offers previews across three branches: Windows 11 25H2 for x86 PCs, Windows 11 26H1 for ARM PCs, and a "Future Platforms" branch for upcoming Windows 11 26H2. Feature Flags have been introduced to customize notifications for new features, and the program has eliminated gradual rollouts, providing immediate access to new features for Experimental users. The process of unenrolling or switching between channels has been simplified with a new In-Place Upgrade (IPU) system, allowing users to transition between versions without losing applications, data, or settings.

Overwatch Season 2 is “modernizing” old heroes, and I’m ready for a Pharmercy revival

X’s messaging app, XChat, may be available soon

XChat is now available for pre-order on the App Store and will be officially released on April 17. Crimson Desert turns a beloved bug into a feature and makes its bonus protagonists actually worth using

Developer Pearl Abyss has released significant updates for Crimson Desert as part of their weekly patch cycle. Roblox Plus is replacing the current Premium subscription, and it sounds like a big upgrade

Roblox will retire its Premium subscription model and introduce a new subscription called Roblox Plus, effective April 30. Existing Premium subscribers can keep their plan but will lose certain benefits, such as bonus Robux. Roblox Plus will offer a fixed monthly rate of .99, a 10% discount on in-game purchases (increasing to 20% after three consecutive months), and access to free unlimited private servers. Creators can earn 100 Robux for each Plus user spending time in their private servers and receive a bonus of 250 Robux for each new subscriber they bring in. Users will be able to trade and resell avatar items and transfer Robux, with parental approval required for users under 18. Optional extras for bundling subscriptions with additional Robux will be introduced after launch, but the 10% bonus on additional Robux purchases will be eliminated.
