Handing your smartphone to someone? This Android feature can keep your private apps and photos locked away

Android's App Pinning feature allows users to temporarily lock their device to a single application, preventing access to other apps and personal data. To enable App Pinning, users need to go to Settings, navigate to Security or Security & privacy, find App pinning, and toggle it on. To pin an app, open the desired app, access the Recent apps/Overview screen, tap the app icon, and select Pin. To unpin the app, swipe up and hold or press and hold the Back and Overview buttons, entering a PIN if required. App Pinning helps protect personal data when lending the phone.

Samsung Find app is losing support for millions of old smartphones

Samsung will no longer support the Find app on older Galaxy phones running One UI 2.0 or earlier, meaning these devices will not receive updates, new features, or bug fixes. The app will continue to function for users with Android 10 or earlier, but if reinstalled, it will only provide the last compatible version. Users must update their phone's software to regain access to the latest features and security updates for the Find app. Many devices on One UI 2.0 have reached the end of their software support lifecycle, prompting users to install available updates for optimal app functionality.
