Someone seems to have got their hands on the updated One UI 7 rollout schedule

An updated rollout schedule for One UI 7, featuring Android 15, has been shared on Reddit, reportedly from the Samsung Members app. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6 are set to receive the update starting April 25, followed by the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5 around May 25. The rollout is phased with a one-month interval between groups, concluding in July. The Galaxy Tab A9 is expected to receive its update in July. Initially, One UI 7 was supposed to launch widely on April 7 in Korea, but the rollout was halted three days later due to a bug affecting several devices. Samsung has acknowledged the situation and is updating the rollout schedule for a better experience, but did not specify reasons for the pause.

Stable One UI 7 rolls out to users both in the U.S. and European regions

The stable version of One UI 7 has started rolling out for eligible Galaxy users in the U.S. and Europe, beginning with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. The update, approximately 5.2GB in size, includes the April security patch and enhances the AI experience with new writing tools and image generation capabilities. Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software Update > Check for updates. One UI 7 features a refreshed Notification panel, a vertically-scrolling app drawer, and a new "Now Bar" for quick access to various controls. Samsung plans to extend the update to older devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, S23 FE, A34, A35, S22, S21 series, and Tab S9/S8 series, by May. The rollout is occurring in phases.

Epic is suing Samsung and Google for One UI’s Auto Blocker shenanigans

Epic Games has filed a lawsuit against Samsung and Google over the Auto Blocker feature in Samsung's One UI 6.1.1, which restricts app sideloading to only the Google Play Store and Samsung Galaxy Store. The lawsuit claims that the feature was designed in collaboration with Google to limit competition in app distribution.
