Skyrim Meets No Man’s Sky in Jaw-Dropping 8 Hour PC Game Freebie

Guardians of the Wild Sky is a new role-playing game that combines exploration similar to No Man’s Sky with storytelling akin to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Players can interact with mystical beings called Guardians and build settlements while navigating customizable airships across a landscape of floating biomes. A demo for the game is currently available for PC users, featuring a curated portion of the game that emphasizes exploration, building, and progression. The full game will have a map of approximately 800 square kilometers, while the demo allows players to create custom worlds, playable solo or cooperatively with up to 10 players. Players have eight hours to explore the demo before starting anew in a fresh world. Early feedback has been positive, highlighting the game's aesthetics and mechanics. The game does not have a confirmed release date yet, but the demo can be downloaded from Steam.

A free Arc Raiders cosmetic is up for grabs thanks to Nvidia, but you’ll need to be quick as there’s a limited supply

Players in Arc Raiders can earn a variety of cosmetics through gameplay, with additional free gear available via the Nvidia app. A new backpack item, the Emerald Wave Electrician Backpack, will be available for claim starting Thursday, December 11 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm GMT / 3PM CET. Players must launch the Nvidia app, navigate to the 'redeem' section, and link it to their Embark profile to secure the item, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The backpack features a vibrant green hue and is a reskin of the existing Electrician Backpack.

The Marvel Rivals anniversary event has launched, introducing an 18v18 Annihilation mode and offering players a variety of rewards. Players can earn Units by logging in for seven consecutive days, receiving 200 Units per day for the first six days and 300 Units on the seventh day, totaling 1,500 Units. These Units expire on December 18. Additional opportunities to earn Units include the Rivals Assemble feature for 600 Units and the Rivals' Day Countdown for 200 Units. Players can increase their total to 2,500 Units by sharing their Rivals Rewind report after December 4. The event features a free Business Shark skin for Jeff, obtainable by collecting Snack coins during matches. Players can also invest in skins and bundles, including the upcoming Van Dyne's Grand Opening event on December 4, which offers six rewards for up to 2,400 Units. Players will be able to play the Immortal Empires campaign and The Lost God prologue campaign, but not the full game. The Immortal Empires campaign features an expansive map that includes all previous Total War: Warhammer titles, allowing players to engage with every faction and legendary lord. Players can purchase specific factions directly without needing to buy the base game. To access the main narrative campaign, Realms of Chaos, players must purchase the full version of the game, but an upgrade pack will be available to unlock additional content. This allows players to invest only in the factions or leaders they are interested in.

GOG is giving away the perfect horror freebie for Halloween

GOG is offering the 2015 point-and-click horror adventure game, Stasis, for free until November 3.
