Bandai Namco and Project Aces announced Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve at The Game Awards 2025, six years after Ace Combat 7. The game is set for a 2026 release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S. It will feature real-world jets, first-person cinematics, and dynamic weather systems. The Campaign Mode will involve players as an ace pilot in the fictional world of Strangereal, focusing on the Federation of Central Usea (FCU) and its conflict with the Republic of Sotoa.
