Microsoft issues emergency Windows 11 update to fix its record-breaking patch

Microsoft has rolled out an emergency out-of-band update to address issues from its September Patch Tuesday update, which affected nearly 1,000 vulnerabilities and caused bugs in folder shares on Hyper-V-based Linux virtual machines, Remote Desktop Services sessions, and certain USB audio devices.
