Over The Top: WWI is a World War I shooter that allows up to 200 players to engage in chaotic combat, focusing on enjoyment rather than historical accuracy. The game features a whimsical aesthetic and encourages camaraderie and humor. Developers believe stringent anti-cheat measures are unnecessary, as critical game functions are server-controlled, reducing the impact of common hacks. The chaotic gameplay makes traditional competitive integrity less relevant, as the unpredictability of combat and the large number of players diminish the effectiveness of cheats.

Hytale was originally developed by Hypixel Studios and acquired by Riot Games in 2020. Riot announced the cancellation of Hytale in June, but a deal was made with Hypixel's co-founder, Simon Collins-Laflamme, to revive the project. Hypixel has shared gameplay footage and aims to combine elements from Minecraft and platforms like Roblox. The game faced delays under Riot's management, but Hypixel is now focused on delivering a playable version and will announce an early access release date soon. They have decided to revert to the original engine for development while planning future cross-platform functionality. Collins-Laflamme noted that the current version has imperfections but shows promise, and he assured that Hytale will not take any revenue from modders and server owners for the first two years.

Players of Garry's Mod will no longer need to own or install Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source to enjoy community maps that use assets from these games. This update aims to reduce the occurrence of missing textures and models, which previously resulted in visual glitches like pink checkerboards and ERROR messages. However, it does not guarantee the complete elimination of all missing content issues, and players may still encounter some visual glitches. Additionally, the update does not include actual map files, voice-over files, or music from these games due to licensing constraints. The gaming community has responded positively to these changes.
