Minecraft is introducing the ability to craft saddles, a feature currently being tested by select insiders and expected to be unveiled at Minecraft Live in March 2025. Players have traditionally acquired saddles through scavenging, trading, or defeating enemies. The upcoming update will also include five new music tracks for various biomes and a collectible music disc titled "Tears," obtainable by defeating a Ghast with its own fireball. Additionally, two new friendly Ghast mob variants will be introduced, allowing players to ride them. Early builds for testing are available, while the official game drop will bring these new features to the broader community.

Minecraft is enabling players to craft their own saddles using three pieces of leather and one ingot, simplifying the process of obtaining saddles for mount-based exploration. This feature is currently available for testing. Additionally, players can now remove saddles from pigs without drastic measures. Mojang has introduced five new ambient music tracks and a new jukebox music disc titled "Tears," which can be obtained by defeating ghasts in the Nether. These updates are part of the testing through Mojang's latest Java snapshot and Bedrock beta/preview update, with an official launch expected in 2025. Android users are currently excluded from testing.

Players can obtain the Silence Armor Trim in Minecraft by exploring Ancient City chests, which have a spawn rate of approximately 1%. These cities are located in fully eroded canyons, primarily in the snow mountains biome. In Creative Mode, players can access an unlimited supply of Silence Armor Trims by entering the command /gamemode creative. To craft or duplicate the trim, players need to combine it with seven Diamonds and one Coobled Deepslate at a crafting table. Diamonds can be obtained by smelting Diamond Ores or breaking down a Block of Diamond, while Coobled Deepslate can be mined from Deepslate blocks found in Ancient Cities. To personalize armor with the Silence Armor Trim, players must use a Smithing Table, combining the trim with an armor piece and a crafting material, which affects the color of the final product.

Mojang announced a new feature for Minecraft in 2025 that allows players to ride Ghasts, including Dried Ghasts, Ghastlings, and Happy Ghasts. Dried Ghasts can be found in the Soul Sand Valleys of the Nether Dimension and evolve into Ghastlings when provided with water. Ghastlings require snowballs to transform into Happy Ghasts, which are large enough to ride. Players can attach a harness to these creatures, who wear goggles to indicate readiness for flight, enabling players to explore various biomes and navigate the terrain more easily.
