Nvidia DLSS 4.5 doesn’t deliver upscaling miracles, but its most exciting feature is still to come

Nvidia has released DLSS 4.5, featuring a new Super Resolution upscaling model called Model M, which is available for over 400 games via the DLSS Override feature. This model uses a second-generation Transformer AI architecture, significantly improving image quality compared to earlier versions. It requires five times the compute power of the original transformer model and has been trained on a high-fidelity dataset for better scene interpretation. Users may experience slight performance impacts, especially on older graphics cards, but testing on an RTX 4080 Super showed minimal frame rate drops. A recent demonstration showcased DLSS 4.5's ability to upscale Red Dead Redemption 2 from 240p to 720p. Asus’ leaked new gaming glasses let you carry a 171-inch, 240Hz display in your pocket

Asus is introducing the Asus ROG Xreal R1 AR gaming glasses, which are the first-ever 240Hz gaming glasses, providing a viewing experience equivalent to a 171-inch screen from four meters away. They feature a vision-filling display, portable design, and a higher refresh rate with a distinctive ROG aesthetic. The glasses include "optical engines" for simultaneous real-world and projected display experiences, with outer lenses that use electrochromic technology to enhance contrast and image quality. Each arm has a Bose speaker system for audio without earbuds, and connectivity options include a USB cable, two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, and two USB-C inputs. They have a 57-degree field of view, covering up to 95% of the focused viewing area, but the resolution is capped at 1080p. Pragmata’s PC Demo Runs Like a Dream

CAPCOM revealed the release date for Pragmata as April 26, 2026, during The Game Awards 2025, and launched a demo available for PC users. The demo lasts approximately 25 minutes and showcases a shift to a more contained environment, resulting in enhanced performance. The demo runs smoothly on an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D and an RTX 4070 Super, achieving an average frame rate of around 90 FPS at 1440p with DLSS configured to DLAA, and up to 120 FPS with DLSS set to Quality. The demo includes options to disable ray tracing and other visual effects for improved performance, and supports Frame Generation for enhanced frame rates. The minimum system requirements include a CPU of Intel Core i5-8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500, 16 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 5500 XT GPU, while the recommended requirements include an Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600 GPU. The demo is 7.4 GB in size and available for download on Steam.

AMD’s Redstone update could revitalize FSR for PC games – here’s why Nvidia should be worried

AMD FSR Redstone is an exciting and confusing upgrade for Radeon PC gamers

I saw the future of Android XR smart glasses, and Google left me stunned at the progress
