Microsoft is finally ready to let you try Windows Recall — first preview build for Copilot+ PCs available now

Microsoft is set to unveil the Windows Recall feature with the release of a new Windows 11 preview build (26120.2415) for Insiders in the Dev Channel. This build also introduces Click To Do, an AI overlay feature. The Recall feature has been enhanced for security, with encrypted local data storage and activation requiring Windows Hello. It will be disabled by default and must be manually enabled by users. Data collected by Recall is only accessible to the user, and Microsoft does not upload it to the cloud or sell it to third parties. Recall is available only on Copilot+ PCs, and currently, only devices with the Snapdragon X processor can access the preview; Intel and AMD processor users cannot participate at this time. Microsoft's Windows 11 Copilot+ PCs are faster and offer increased battery life compared to older Windows machines. Recent benchmarks show that these devices, powered by Snapdragon processors, can be up to five times faster than popular Windows PCs that are five years old. The evaluation used the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core benchmark, comparing Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X Elite 12 core and Snapdragon X Plus 10 core configurations against older models. The Copilot+ PCs provide up to 2.3 times more battery life for local video playback and up to 3 times more battery power for web browsing compared to five-year-old Windows devices. Surface Pro 12: Microsoft prepares Intel Lunar Lake Copilot PC with Windows 11

Microsoft is developing a new iteration of its Surface Pro line, tentatively named the Surface Pro 12 or Surface Pro 2025, featuring Intel's Lunar Lake processors.
