Developer gets a little too silly, recommends deadly psychoactive ingredient in its bad boy-themed cocktail

Infold has released a dating gacha game called Love and Deepspace, featuring whimsical cocktail recipes inspired by its male suitors, each paired with a signature flower. The characters include Caleb with the crabapple blossom, Xavier with the forget-me-not, Zayne with jasmine, Rafayel with the fire lily, and Sylus with datura. The inclusion of the toxic fire lily and psychoactive datura in the cocktail recipes has sparked concern within the gaming community. OM SDK sandbox cuts Android ad session start to 11 ms, IAB Tech Lab says

IAB Tech Lab has released version 1.6.10 of its Open Measurement SDK for Android, introducing the ability for verification scripts for native ads to run within Android's Jetpack JavaScriptEngine instead of the traditional WebView. This update, effective from October 1, 2026, allows for a significant reduction in verification check initiation time, with the sandbox environment taking approximately 11 milliseconds compared to 268 milliseconds in the WebView. Applications that do not implement this new feature will continue to function as before, and HTML-based ads are not included in this update. The JavaScriptEngine library allows JavaScript evaluation without a WebView, reducing resource consumption and enabling compatibility with background services. The adoption process for this feature involves updating to OM SDK Android 1.6.10 or later, integrating the androidx.javascriptengine dependency, and maintaining the sandbox throughout the app's lifecycle.

Players can mine resources, craft items, cultivate farms, and explore a 3D open world. The game was first unveiled in June 2025, following the studio's previous releases, including the 2023 physics-based fighting game Scroter and the 2024 found footage horror title Unknown Tapes. The studio plans to release another title in 2027, but specific details about that release are not yet available.

I tried Duolingo for the first time in a year, and it’s worse than I thought

Marvin Velasco, a former daily user of Duolingo, became disillusioned after a year due to repetitive lessons and a lack of new content, leading him to uninstall the app despite a streak of over 500 days. Upon returning to refresh his German skills for a trip to Europe, he found the app cluttered with ads and unrelated features, which detracted from the language learning experience. The introduction of a new energy system limited his lesson completion and emphasized subscription tiers over genuine learning. After a trial of Duolingo Super, which he found gamified the experience, Velasco switched to Gemini, appreciating its user-friendly interface and personalized study plans. He tailored his learning with Gemini to focus on conversational German without the stress of losing streaks. Despite its flaws, he kept Duolingo for its structured modules, using both apps to create a balanced approach to language learning. He improved his experience with Duolingo by using it on a web browser to eliminate ads and disabling competitive features.

These 3 popular Windows apps run faster as CLI tools: Here’s how to switch

Windows provides graphical tools for various tasks, but terminal commands can be more efficient. Three utilities that serve as alternatives to File Explorer, Task Manager, and Notepad are zoxide, btop, and bat, all of which can be installed using winget. zoxide is a directory jumper that simplifies navigation through folder structures by learning user habits. It can be installed with PLACEHOLDERf0ff8219c0950297 and requires a line added to the PowerShell profile for activation. Users can jump to directories by typing PLACEHOLDERb9546a80b5ad16aa followed by part of the folder name, and it adapts over time based on usage patterns. btop is a system monitor that displays processor, memory, disk, network, and process data on a single terminal screen. The Windows version, btop4win, can be installed with winget install aristocratos.btop4win. It features live graphs, allows navigation via keyboard and mouse, and provides real-time updates on resource consumption. Users can filter and sort processes and terminate them directly from the interface. bat is a command-line file viewer that shows file contents with syntax highlighting and line numbers, eliminating the need to open Notepad. It can be installed using winget install sharkdp.bat and allows users to view files directly in the terminal. It integrates with Git to highlight changes and manages longer files with a pager for easier scrolling. These tools enhance efficiency for common tasks in Windows by providing quick access and streamlined workflows through the terminal.

The GTA V Android port project has been shut down by parent company Take-Two Interactive with a cease-and-desist letter, ending hopes of a native and optimized version of the game on Android phones.
