The Samsung Internet Browser app can be installed from the Play Store and the Galaxy Store. An upcoming update with One UI 8.5 is expected to coincide with the Galaxy S26 series launch. The update will feature a new icon, a revamped welcome screen, and a floating address bar that disappears while scrolling. Users will be able to block fixed-position pop-ups, and the tab management layout will resemble the Gallery app's grid view. A compact floating bar will allow customization of button arrangements. Users will also be able to "like" videos directly from the browser, and the browser will check for APK availability in the Galaxy Store during downloads. Additionally, a pop-up will offer the option to close all open tabs when closing the browser, with the ability to disable this feature for future sessions.

Epic Games filed lawsuits against Apple and Google in 2020 for restricting users' access to Epic's offerings through third-party app stores. The Ninth Circuit ruled in favor of Epic against Google, finding antitrust violations, while Epic lost the federal antitrust case against Apple. The Department of Justice also filed a lawsuit against Apple under Section 2 of the Sherman Act for monopolization. Apple's closed system was found to be successful, while Google's open-source system faced legal challenges. The court in the Google Play case issued remedies targeting exclusivity, which could lead to better user experiences and lower prices.

Android users can optimize their devices by clearing the cache, which can be done in several ways. To clear the cache of individual apps, go to Settings, select Apps, choose the specific app, and then go to Storage to find the option to clear the cache. Alternatively, users can use a third-party app like 1Tap Cleaner from the Google Play Store, which offers various cleaning options and insights into cache usage. To clear the internet cache, open the browser, access the mini menu by tapping the three dots or bars, and navigate to the History section to find options for clearing browsing history. Users may have the choice to delete data from the last day or all time, with the latter being more effective. Additionally, clearing cookies and cached images is recommended for optimal performance. Regularly clearing cache from apps, the system, and the internet can help free up space and enhance device performance.

Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft fifty years ago to sell a version of the Basic computer language for the Altair. Microsoft has evolved from its initial focus on PC software to commanding a vast network of global data centers and recently investing in generative AI. The company faced challenges from the rise of the internet and smartphones, which shifted focus away from PCs, leading to stagnation in its stock price. Satya Nadella became CEO in 2014 and shifted Microsoft towards a cloud-first strategy, embracing open-source software and partnering with OpenAI for exclusive access to AI models. Under his leadership, Microsoft has adapted to changes in the tech landscape, although the impact of generative AI remains uncertain. Since Nadella's appointment, Microsoft's stock price has increased tenfold, raising its market value to nearly .8 trillion.

Windows 11 users often seek alternatives to the default applications due to limited functionality and usability. The process of changing default apps differs between Windows 10 and 11; Windows 11 requires users to set a default app for each file type individually. The default media player, Movies & TV app, has limitations such as lack of codec support and missing features like conversion tools. Recommended alternatives include VLC Media Player and PotPlayer. Microsoft Edge is underutilized, with only 15% of users opting for it, while alternatives like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera GX, and Vivaldi are popular. Microsoft's Clipchamp is a basic video editor, with Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve as better options for complex editing. The Photos app is the default image editor, with Adobe Photoshop as the premium choice and GIMP and Canva as free alternatives. Windows 11's screen recording tools, like Xbox Game Bar, may underperform, while OBS Studio and Nvidia's GeForce Experience's ShadowPlay offer better options.
