Microsoft preparing clipboard sync between Windows and Android with Gboard support

Microsoft is introducing clipboard synchronization between Windows 11 and Android devices through its Phone Link system, which supports Gboard. An "Access PC’s clipboard" toggle has been found in the Phone Link application, allowing users to share their Windows clipboard with Android devices. This feature is currently available only in early Dev builds, and initial tests show it works seamlessly. Users can sync clipboard items instantly by activating the toggle and adjusting settings. The synchronization works with various keyboards, but not with Microsoft’s SwiftKey. The feature allows content copied on Windows to be pasted on Android, but not vice versa in the early preview.

Award-winning mobile puzzle game arrives on PC and consoles

Monument Valley 3 is launching on Steam, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, expanding its audience beyond mobile platforms. The game features a new character, Noor, who explores a water-filled world and allows for navigation across open waters. A physical collection titled Monument Valley: The Trilogy will be available for Switch and PlayStation 5 on October 30, priced at .99, including all three games, six art cards, and soundtrack download cards. Developer ustwo games will donate 3% of profits to charitable causes, having raised over 0,000 for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for emergency flood relief. The series maintains an E rating for all ages.

New Windows 11 beta brings more changes to Control Panel settings

Microsoft is transitioning away from the traditional Windows Control Panel, moving settings to the Windows 11 "Settings" app. Recent updates have relocated keyboard character repeat delay and repeat rate options to the Accessibility > Keyboard section in the Settings app, although these changes are currently hidden and require manual activation by users. Additionally, all remaining options from the mouse properties dialog box have also been transferred to the Settings app. Despite these updates, keyboard options still exist in the traditional Control Panel. Microsoft began this transition in 2020 and plans to retire the Control Panel entirely, but the process is progressing slowly, with remnants of the Control Panel still present in Windows 10 and 11.
