Microsoft Store Web Now Lets You Install Multiple Windows Apps at Once

Microsoft has introduced a "Multi-app Install" feature on the Microsoft Store website, allowing users to select and install multiple Windows applications simultaneously. Users can bundle several applications into a single installer, which, when executed, initiates the installation of all chosen apps without requiring additional clicks or permissions. Currently, users can select from a curated list of 48 popular apps, including Netflix, Instagram, Apple Music, and Spotify. This feature is only available on the web version of the Microsoft Store, as the desktop application does not support it yet.

RIP Windows 10 – Winux ‘W10EOL’ is the Windows 11 clone that runs on Linux and makes your old PC feel new again

Windows 10 is reaching its end of life, and users will no longer receive security updates, making their systems vulnerable. Winux 11.25.10 “W10EOL” is a Windows-style Linux distribution based on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, designed to provide a familiar interface for users unable to upgrade to Windows 11. It features a KDE Plasma 5 desktop, a new “Redsand” theme, and an upgraded system kernel 6.14 for better hardware compatibility. Winux includes PowerTools 1.8.3 to replicate popular Windows utilities, supports .exe and .msi installers via Wine, and allows access to Android apps through an integrated PlayStore. It also provides native OneDrive access, Microsoft Teams Preview, the Edge browser, Mozilla Thunderbird for email, and OnlyOffice 9 for document editing. The OS includes live wallpapers, a revamped login screen, and over 1GB of updated packages. Winux 11.25.10 is available for download.

Windows 11 Revives DreamScene With Live Video Wallpapers Returning

Microsoft is reintroducing live wallpapers to the Windows operating system, originally known as DreamScene from the Windows Vista era. The feature is currently in testing, with the latest Windows 11 Dev/Beta build (26x20.6690) revealing an option to use video files as live wallpapers. Users can participate in the Windows Insider program to access this feature by enabling feature ID 57645315 and restarting the explorer.exe process. The official rollout timeline is uncertain, but it may debut in next year's major updates. The current focus for updates is on security enhancements rather than significant visual changes. More bug fixes and refinements are expected before the feature's stable release.
