VoxeLibre, formerly known as MineClone2, has surpassed 500,000 downloads, averaging close to 1,000 downloads per day over the past month. The game has been in development for nearly 8 years, with over 3,000 issues reported (69% resolved) and more than 1,600 pull requests submitted (95% accepted). In the last 12 months, there have been 7 releases published, 269 pull requests merged by 46 contributors, 75 pull requests proposed by 21 contributors, 199 issues closed by 67 users, 192 new issues created by 44 users, and 234 unresolved conversations. The upcoming release is 87% completed.

Minetest is rebranding itself as Luanti to move away from being labeled a "Minecraft clone." The name Luanti combines the Finnish word "luonti," meaning "creation," and the programming language Lua. This change reflects a focus on innovation and creativity within the platform. Additionally, the game previously known as MineClone2 has been rebranded as VoxeLibre.
