After years of forgetting Windows shortcuts, I finally found a method that makes them stick

On Windows 11, keyboard shortcuts enhance productivity, but many users are only aware of a few common ones like "Windows key + E" for File Explorer and "Ctrl + C" and "Ctrl + V" for copying and pasting. To help users discover more shortcuts, the Microsoft team behind PowerToys has released a revamped Shortcut Guide in version 0.100. This guide can be accessed through the GitHub page or the Microsoft Store and activated via PowerToys settings. Users can customize the guide's color theme, position, and exclude specific applications. The guide can be opened using the "Windows key + Shift + /" shortcut and provides organized shortcuts for Windows 11 and PowerToys. It also includes context-aware functionality, showing relevant shortcuts based on the active application. The development team has provided guidelines for developers to integrate their apps into the Shortcut Guide.

Rokarolla trojan uses screen overlays to hijack Android financial apps

A new banking trojan for Android, named Rokarolla, targets 217 applications, including banking and cryptocurrency platforms, to steal credentials and sensitive financial data. It operates via a command and control (C2) server and bypasses the Google Play Store by using phishing websites that mimic legitimate download portals. Users are tricked into downloading a dropper that installs the malware, which disguises itself as the Google Play Protect security tool to gain access to Android Accessibility Services. Rokarolla employs dynamic screen overlays to capture user input in targeted financial applications and can also impersonate the device's lock screen. Additionally, it uses a pseudo-VNC system to intermittently capture screenshots for data extraction and can modify clipboard contents to manipulate cryptocurrency transactions by replacing copied addresses with those controlled by attackers.

Microsoft and Adobe team up and make Photoshop 20% faster on Windows

These optimizations resulted in improved responsiveness for critical tasks in Photoshop, enhancing the user experience in professional creative workflows.
