Microsoft has rolled out an update to the Start menu, introducing a new account manager feature for managing Microsoft subscriptions, including Office 365. The update initially complicated signing out of a Windows account by placing the sign-out option behind an additional menu. In response to user feedback, the latest release in the Release Preview channel has reinstated a more accessible sign-out button in the account manager. Users can now easily switch accounts by selecting the ellipses (…), which displays a list of other users. Additionally, the update improves file sharing capabilities by allowing users to drag and drop files onto search results, introduces media controls on the lock screen for quick access to music playback, and enhances battery management features, including a new energy recommendation and a notification for low battery levels. The latest build is available in the Release Preview channel.
