The middle mouse button in Windows computing offers various productivity-enhancing features. Users can add a middle mouse button function to their trackpad by navigating to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad > Three-finger gestures and selecting Middle mouse button. A middle-click allows for automatic scrolling on web pages, opens links in new tabs, and closes tabs in browsers and File Explorer. It can also open a new window for any app pinned to the taskbar, close windows directly from the taskbar, open previous or next pages in new tabs, open bookmarked links in new tabs, and open browser suggestions in new tabs. Additionally, a middle-click on the refresh button refreshes the page in a new tab, and a middle-click on the home icon opens the home page in a new tab.
