NASA has collaborated with Minecraft to create an interactive gaming experience inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope, allowing players to explore star formation, planetary systems, and galaxies using authentic imagery from the telescope. The initiative aims to engage students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and inspire future scientists and engineers. Since its launch on December 25, 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope has made significant advancements in space observation, including studying planets in our solar system and analyzing exoplanet atmospheres. NASA's Office of STEM Engagement also partnered with Minecraft for the Artemis Challenge in 2023, enabling users to build rockets, navigate spacecraft, and establish lunar bases.
