Players of Crimson Desert expressed a desire to tame and ride bears. Developer Pearl Abyss introduced legendary wolf and bear mounts that can be acquired through quests or by defeating bears. Initially, these animals could not be tamed for riding, but a recent update allows players to register certain animals as special mounts after earning their trust. The list of tamable animals includes dogs, with some requiring unique taming methods. Additionally, players can now extract materials used in equipment upgrades, receiving a full return of special materials and a 70% refund on common resources like iron ore, copper ore, and bloodstones. Pearl Abyss continues to introduce new features regularly, including bird taming, to enhance the player experience.

How to tame the Iron Eagle in Crimson Desert

To tame the Iron Eagle in Crimson Desert, players must gather specific resources and solve a puzzle. The Iron Eagle is located at the Hawkstone Ruins, north of the "A" in Deleysia. Required items include a Sotdae of Bond, a Gold Bar, Mercury, and Brimstone. The Gold Bar can be obtained by purchasing Holy Water from churches in Hernand and Senia. Mercury and Brimstone can be acquired through mining or by building rapport with troll scholars in Scholastone, requiring 10 basic hide materials for rewards. To summon the Iron Eagle, players must wait until 5am and interact with a dial at the Hawkstone Ruins after reading an inscription. They need to place the Sotdae of Bond in their inventory and add Platinum as feed. Upon consuming the Platinum, the Iron Eagle grants 100 Trust, allowing players to unlock it as a pet.

This new deep-sea roguelike turns mining into a survival horror grind

Yogscast Games is releasing a roguelike game titled The Subminer, set in the icy depths of Enceladus, one of Saturn's moons. Minecraft 26.2 Snapshot 5

The 26.2 Snapshot 5 introduces several new features, including an explosive archetype for the Sulfur Cube and the addition of erupting Geysers formed by Potent Sulfur. The new Sulfur Cube archetype, called Explosive, shares properties with the Regular archetype but has higher air drag and can absorb TNT blocks. When primed, absorbed TNT has a fuse time of 6 seconds when ignited by fire or Redstone, and a randomized fuse time between 0.75 and 3 seconds when primed by an explosion. Sulfur Cubes with absorbed TNT cannot be picked up or damaged, and no Small Sulfur Cubes will spawn upon explosion. Potent Sulfur creates Geysers when placed above a Magma block and under water, sending water particles skyward at random intervals. Various adjustments have been made to mob hitboxes, and Hoglins are now classified as hostile and will not spawn on Peaceful difficulty. New sounds for Geyser eruptions have been added, and Touchscreen Mode has been removed. The Data Pack version is now 104.0, and the Resource Pack version is 86.2. New particles related to Geysers have been introduced, and several bugs have been fixed in this update.

Old School Runescape Leagues’ regional restrictions have only fueled my love for Varlamore

Old School Runescape has introduced a new continent, Varlamore, and a Sailing update for exploration. Fake Proton VPN sites are pushing NWHStealer malware to Windows users

A malware campaign is utilizing counterfeit Proton VPN websites and other deceptive tactics to distribute a Windows infostealer known as NWHStealer. This malware extracts sensitive information, including browser credentials and cryptocurrency wallet details, and operates stealthily by injecting itself into legitimate processes. Two primary infection vectors have been identified: malicious ZIP archives on a free web hosting platform and trojanized installers from fake Proton VPN sites. The malware employs DLL hijacking and can exfiltrate data to a command-and-control server while ensuring persistence through scheduled tasks and disguising payloads as legitimate system processes. It also exploits the Windows cmstp.exe utility to bypass User Account Control. Users are advised to avoid downloading software from unofficial sources and to verify file signatures and publisher information.
