Windows 11 has faced user dissatisfaction due to perceived similarities with Windows 10, bugs, missing features, and a sluggish interface. Complaints have intensified regarding Microsoft's focus on integrating artificial intelligence rather than addressing fundamental issues within the OS. Despite the end of support for Windows 10, many users are choosing to remain on it or switch to alternatives like Linux due to Windows 11's stringent hardware requirements and ongoing support for Windows 10 until October 2026. Users have expressed concerns about the performance of basic applications, particularly File Explorer. Microsoft has started addressing some performance issues but needs to prioritize user feedback and resolve existing problems to improve perceptions of Windows 11.

Hytale was originally developed by Hypixel Studios and acquired by Riot Games in 2020. Riot announced the cancellation of Hytale in June, but a deal was made with Hypixel's co-founder, Simon Collins-Laflamme, to revive the project. Hypixel has shared gameplay footage and aims to combine elements from Minecraft and platforms like Roblox. The game faced delays under Riot's management, but Hypixel is now focused on delivering a playable version and will announce an early access release date soon. They have decided to revert to the original engine for development while planning future cross-platform functionality. Collins-Laflamme noted that the current version has imperfections but shows promise, and he assured that Hytale will not take any revenue from modders and server owners for the first two years.

Konami has released Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PC, priced at €80. Initial performance tests show it runs adequately on high-end hardware, specifically the NVIDIA RTX 5090, but achieving Ray Tracing at native 4K/Ultra settings is challenging. The game is locked at 60FPS due to reliance on legacy code, and it lacks Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support and Frame Generation, which raises concerns about its value at this price point. While it performs better than console versions and supports NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR, it does not support ultrawide displays. Keyboard and mouse controls function smoothly, and the game does not include Denuvo.

Fast Startup on Windows enhances boot times by placing the computer in a hibernation-like state, saving the system state to disk for quicker startups, but does not preserve open programs and processes. Disabling Fast Startup is advisable for users with modern SSDs unless they experience noticeable slowdowns. Fast Startup circumvents traditional shutdowns, which are necessary for proper power cycling of components, potentially leading to system issues over time. It can disrupt Windows updates, causing instability and missing features, making it wise to keep it disabled for regular updaters. For dual-boot systems with Windows and Linux, Fast Startup should be disabled to avoid boot issues and potential data corruption. It can also exacerbate wake-from-sleep problems, leading to slower wake times and peripheral malfunctions. Users with modern NVMe SSDs may find that Fast Startup offers minimal advantages and could even result in longer boot times.
