Square Enix announced that support for Final Fantasy XIV on Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025, coinciding with Microsoft's cessation of security updates for the operating system. Players may still access the game on Windows 10 after this date, but technical assistance for issues related to Windows 10 will be limited. On the same date, system requirements will update from Windows 10 64-bit to Windows 11 64-bit, with minimum CPU requirements changing from Intel Core i7-7700 to Intel Core i5-8400 or higher, while recommended requirements will remain at Intel Core i7-9700. Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, is scheduled for early August and will introduce new Main Scenario Quests and the next chapter of the Final Fantasy XIV and XI crossover raid series, Echoes of Vana'diel.
