The window management, input, and platform integration library has been transitioned from GLFW to SDL3. New features include custom furnace fuels and enhancements to signs, world generation, and loot tables. Players in spectator mode can interact with portals for teleportation. Exclusive fullscreen mode on Windows may cause crashes with multiple monitors, and it crashes on Wayland. Minor tweaks have been made to blocks, items, and entities, including armadillos no longer rolling up in liquids. The Raw Input mouse setting has been removed, and mouse input will now use relative mode. Key bindings will use physical keys, and borderless fullscreen is now the default mode. Exclusive fullscreen mode is no longer supported on macOS, and the minimum window size has been set to 320 by 240 pixels. Linux systems will prefer Wayland if available. The debug overlay now supports a separate GUI scale and displays the player's speed and refresh rate. The Data Pack version is 111.0, and the Resource Pack version is 92.0. New components for cooking and brewing fuels have been added, and various bugs have been fixed to improve gameplay stability.

Bryce Clark, game director of Poppy Playtime, has played 23,000 hours of Steam games: ‘I’m a bit obsessed with learning the market’

Bryce Clark is the game director of Poppy Playtime and has a history in gaming that began with DOS games. His childhood favorite was the 1994 RTS Dominus, which had technical difficulties that required troubleshooting. He has worked for studios like 343 Industries and Blizzard and became the lead technical artist at Mob Entertainment in 2023 before directing Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5, released in February. Clark enjoys games like Aethus, Strange Antiquities, and Prosperous Universe, and recently played Librarian: Tidy Up the Arcane Library and Forza Horizon 6. The oldest games on his PC are No Man's Sky and The Hunter: Call of The Wild. He has logged over 23,000 hours on Steam, with Rocket League and Ark: Survival Evolved among his top titles. Clark finds comfort in The Hunter: Call of the Wild and Subnautica. He uses Snagit for screenshots and video recording and WinDirStat for disk space management. Minecraft’s 26.2 update just fixed a bug that’s 14 years old

Mojang released the Minecraft 26.2 update, named Chaos Cubed, on June 16, which introduced a new Sulfur Caves biome and the Sulfur Cube mob, along with various bug fixes. A significant fix in this update resolved a 14-year-old bug, designated as "MC-4," that affected item drops at the edge of blocks on online servers. This bug was first reported on October 24, 2012, and was officially marked as resolved in the recent update after 4,983 days. Mojang's Lead Designer, Jens 'Jeb' Bergensten, had previously noted attempts to fix the issue in 2016. Another unresolved bug, known as MC-14, involves minecarts occupying the same space while maintaining momentum.

Chaos Cubed drop is now available for Minecraft on Nintendo Switch

The Chaos Cubed game update has launched on the Nintendo Switch, introducing new features such as the sulfur cube, sulfur caves, and various blocks. The sulfur cube is a passive mob found in sulfur caves that can absorb blocks to gain unique effects. Players can leash or scoop them up, or use bouncy wool blocks to launch them. Sulfur caves are home to hostile creatures and contain sulfur and cinnabar blocks, as well as sulfur spikes that are safe for players. On the Overworld surface, sulfur springs and geysers indicate the presence of sulfur caves, with springs emitting toxic gases that cause nausea. Potent sulfur generates bubbles and gas puffs when placed under water and can create geysers when combined with magma blocks. The update also includes a new music disc called Bounce, which can be found in chests within mineshafts that connect to the sulfur caves.
