The N64: Recompiled tool has been updated by Wiseguy, making it easier to create native ports of N64 games. The latest update improves the renderer, allowing N64 games to run at full speed with 4K texture packs even on older hardware. Mod-supporting ports of various games are coming soon, with the ability for modders to change virtually anything in the game. Currently, Zelda 64: Recompiled supports Majora's Mask, with Ocarina of Time on the way. Other recomps for games like Kirby 64, Quest 64, and Banjo-Kazooie are also in progress.

11 Bit Studios has announced the upcoming release of Frostpunk 1886, a remake of the original game using Unreal Engine 5, set to include new content, innovative mechanics, a variety of new laws, and an all-new Purpose path. The title references Year 0 in the Frostpunk timeline, marking the start of the Great Frost. Development of Frostpunk 2 will continue alongside Frostpunk 1886.

Krafton has issued an open letter regarding their upcoming life simulation game, inZOI, stating that they will enforce strict measures against illegal content related to the game. Prohibited activities include using or distributing unauthorized copies, manipulating game data, and creating websites for illegal downloads. Players may be banned for launching pirated versions or installing unauthorized modifications. Official mod support is expected to be available in May. inZOI is being developed for PC and will enter early access on Steam on March 28, with a free character creation and building editor available for players.

Epic Games is offering a selection of free games during the holiday season, including notable titles like Death Stranding and Vampire Survivors. One of the highlighted free games is Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles, a deckbuilding game developed by a small indie team in São Paulo, Brazil. Astrea features a unique gameplay mechanic that replaces cards with dice and includes a system called Virtues, which are character-specific abilities activated by taking Corruption damage. The game has received an 80% review score from PC Gamer and offers a balance of risk and strategy, where players can wager lives for upgrades. Astrea was released on PC in September 2023 and has received updates to enhance replayability, including rebalancing and mod support. It is currently available for free on the Epic Games Store.
