‘The Witcher 3’ Is Finally Bringing The Best Part Of PC Gaming To PS5 And Xbox Series X/S

CD Projekt Red is celebrating the tenth anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with various initiatives, including an anniversary trailer, concerts, and developer discussions. An update scheduled for 2025 will enhance modding capabilities for The Witcher 3 on consoles, allowing PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players to use mods previously available only to PC players. Console users will need a mod.io account to access these mods, while PC players can use other platforms like Nexus Mods. All mods must be approved by CD Projekt Red, and while simpler mods will work without the developer’s mod kit, those requiring code alterations will need it. Mod creation will remain exclusive to PC. The update aims to increase engagement among console players, who have previously had limited modding experiences.

Hogwarts Legacy first-person mode looks like a whole new game

The director's cut and DLC expansion for Hogwarts Legacy were scrapped despite the game's success as the best-selling new release of 2023. This Majora’s Mask port now supports mods, and more recompiled N64 games are coming

The N64: Recompiled tool has been updated by Wiseguy, making it easier to create native ports of N64 games. The latest update improves the renderer, allowing N64 games to run at full speed with 4K texture packs even on older hardware. Mod-supporting ports of various games are coming soon, with the ability for modders to change virtually anything in the game. Currently, Zelda 64: Recompiled supports Majora's Mask, with Ocarina of Time on the way. Other recomps for games like Kirby 64, Quest 64, and Banjo-Kazooie are also in progress.
