Jared Hess’ A Minecraft Movie, which premiered last April, grossed 4.1 million in the United States and Canada. It has been surpassed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush’s Zootopia 2, which has grossed 4.2 million since its Thanksgiving release. Zootopia 2 had a larger opening weekend, earning 0.3 million compared to the original Zootopia's 1.1 million, and has already surpassed the original's total of 1.3 million. Globally, Zootopia 2 has exceeded 0.8 billion, while A Minecraft Movie grossed 1.2 million worldwide. The only film surpassing Zootopia 2 this year is the animated Chinese film Ne Zha 2, which has crossed the billion mark. Upcoming animated films include Hoppers, Toy Story 5, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Hexed, and Minions & Monsters.

Mobile in-app purchases for Minecraft increased by 44% following the release of A Minecraft Movie. There was a 9% rise in active users on mobile platforms and a 41% increase on consoles. From January to mid-May 2025, daily active users for Minecraft on mobile fluctuated between 8.5 million and 10.5 million, with a peak above 10.5 million in early April. In April, Minecraft’s mobile revenue reached a three-year high of 9,000 in gross player spending. For Fallout, the release of the Fallout TV show led to a 77% rise in daily active users for Fallout Shelter and a 150% increase in in-app purchase revenue, reaching nearly 0,000 in daily mobile IAP revenue. Fallout 4 on PC saw daily unit sales peak at over 25,000 units. This engagement peak for Fallout titles occurred around mid-April and returned to baseline levels by July 2024.

It performed well in various international markets, achieving No. 1 rankings in Germany, Norway, Chile, and Bolivia, and secured the second-highest opening of the year in Germany with .6 million.
