Nvidia unveiled the RTX Spark chips at Computex 2026, featuring a 20-core Nvidia Grace CPU and an Nvidia Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, comparable to the GeForce RTX 5070 desktop GPU. The chips utilize NVLINK technology for faster data transfer than PCI Express. They support DLSS 4.5 upscaling technology, which enhances performance without the issues of DLSS 5. Currently, the gaming handheld market has limited DLSS support, with the Nintendo Switch 2 being an exception. Community feedback indicates a preference for DLSS 4.5 over native visuals. RTX Spark chips are expected to debut in laptops and mini PCs by the end of 2026, with potential for handheld gaming devices. Pricing and power consumption remain uncertain, and Nvidia's DGX Spark mini PC retails for ,699, suggesting high costs for RTX Spark systems. Nvidia claims these laptops will run AAA games at 1440p and over 100 frames per second, but details on power draw and battery life are unclear.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 may return to retail by June, following leaks about Nvidia's GPU production plans. Production of the GA106 GPU has resumed at Samsung, as current-generation GPUs are primarily made by TSMC, which is at full capacity. The RTX 3060 is expected to be priced between the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050, featuring 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM, more than both the RTX 5060 and RTX 5050. The anticipated launch of a new RTX 5050 with 9GB of VRAM may be delayed or canceled. The RTX 3060 will support DLSS upscaling but not frame generation.

Nvidia DLSS 4.5 has been released in beta, featuring advancements in frame generation technology, including the ability to generate up to five "fake frames" with a 6x frame generation option. The Dynamic Multi Frame Generation (MFG) allows users to benefit from multi-frame generation without it being constantly active. This feature is available exclusively for RTX 5000 series graphics cards. Testing with an RTX 5080 showed that activating 2x frame generation increased frame rates to an average of 105fps, while 4x frame generation raised it to approximately 180fps, albeit with increased input lag. The Dynamic Frame Generation mode maintained frame rates between 210fps and 250fps but resulted in a peak PC latency of 68ms. Lowering the target FPS to 120 stabilized frame rates around 120fps with 2x or 3x frame generation, improving responsiveness. Results may vary based on game settings, and exceeding 3x frame generation can lead to input lag. Dynamic MFG allows for easier configuration by automatically adjusting frame generation based on the target refresh rate.
