TikTok has added YouTube Music to its “Add to Music app” feature, allowing users to save songs from TikTok directly to their YouTube Music library. Users can access this feature by tapping the “Add Song” button under video descriptions, with the option to change their default streaming service in the Settings menu. The feature was initially launched in 2023 with limited streaming platforms and has since expanded to include additional services and reach over 160 countries.

Minecraft has seen a decline in music activations compared to Roblox and Fortnite. Styngr, a startup known for music integration in gaming, has partnered with Moonsworth, the creator of the Lunar Client mod pack for Minecraft, to introduce in-game radio stations using Styngr’s licensed music. The service, called ‘Lunar FM,’ is available for a premium subscription of .99 per month, with plans for an ad-supported version in 2025. Lunar FM is designed to be “streamer-safe” to prevent takedowns during gameplay. Additionally, Styngr has launched a ‘Soundboard’ tool that allows players to use short music clips, initially introduced in three Roblox games.
