Veterans from Blizzard North, now part of MoonBeast Productions, are developing an action role-playing game called Darkhaven, which combines elements from Diablo II and Minecraft. The game is not a sequel to Diablo II but is inspired by concepts from the original game and its Lord of Destruction expansion. Darkhaven features a procedurally generated world that evolves as players progress, including a global event called the "Necropolis" that transforms the landscape into an undead-dominated realm. Players can escape to new worlds with unique challenges. The game includes a dynamic event system that will regularly introduce new events, similar to how Minecraft adds new biomes. Players can manipulate the environment, such as destroying walls and reshaping the terrain for tactical advantages. Darkhaven is available on Steam for players to add to their wishlist, but its release date has not been announced.

Season 6, titled Relic of Hoxxes, introduces the Ossuary Depths biome and a new mission type, Heavy Excavation, focused on amber hunting. The seasonal event, Ossium Raid, features the Bone Collector, which players can track for treasures. A performance pass with unlockable items and a paid cosmetic DLC pack will also be available. Season 6 is set to release on January 29.

Core Keeper launched out of early access in 2024 with a 94% positive rating on Steam. The upcoming update, Void and Voltage, will be released for free on January 28. The game features exploration, combat, and crafting from a top-down perspective. The new biome, Breaker's Reach, includes new adversaries and a boss named SAHABAR. The update will introduce new automation tools, gear such as a handheld flamethrower, miniguns, and various other items. A new sub-biome called the Void will feature evolved enemy variants and new combat mechanics. Community-requested features will also be added, including echo maps, crafting statues, and improvements to minions.

Enshrouded’s next big update is bringing way more water to the survival RPG than I expected

Enshrouded, launched in early access in January of last year, is set to release the Wake of the Water update later this year, introducing a new biome dedicated to water. This biome will serve as high-level endgame content and will feature water elements throughout the game, including small oases in arid regions and water access at player bases. The update includes new enemies, such as a lizard-like race, and introduces fishing mechanics with various bait and rods. Players will also see improvements in swimming mechanics, allowing for longer breath-holding and faster swimming. Currently, Enshrouded is available at a 20% discount on Steam until September 2.
