Novacrystal

Novacrystal is a crucial material in Monster Hunter Wilds for enhancing weaponry, particularly for the final weapon of the Ore tree and the second Rey Dau weapon. It is accessible only upon reaching High Rank. Players can obtain Novacrystal through two main methods: 1. Harvesting mining outcrops in the Ruins of Wyveria during High Rank, with notable locations near the entrance to Sild, area 5, and area 8. 2. Breaking the head of a Gypceros during High Rank hunts, which has a 30% chance of yielding a Novacrystal, while destroying its wounds has a 12% chance. Novacrystal is a rare drop, and players may need to wait for mining nodes to reset or rest at their tent for 300 Guild Points to refresh them. Engaging with the Gypceros also unlocks villager Material Gathering in the region.
