Microsoft just brought four OG Xbox games to PC, with more console classics to come

Microsoft has enabled players to access original Xbox titles on Windows PCs and handheld devices through the Xbox Backward Compatibility scheme, eliminating the need for third-party emulators. The initial game lineup includes titles like Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, and Fuzion Frenzy, available via the Xbox app or Game Pass subscriptions. Players who previously purchased these games do not need to buy them again due to the Xbox Play Anywhere program. The games utilize Microsoft's emulation technology, allowing enhancements such as increased resolution up to 2560×1920, anisotropic filtering, and MSAA anti-aliasing. The minimum system requirements include an AMD Ryzen 3 3100 or Intel Core i3-10300 CPU, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX 550 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 GPU, 4GB VRAM, and Windows 11 with updates until January 2026. Grand Theft Auto 6 leaker who was given an indefinite sentence in 2023 because he wouldn’t stop hacking is now out of hospital and awaiting retrial

At 18, he was found liable by a UK court for cyber intrusions targeting major corporations, notably leaking 90 videos of Grand Theft Auto 6 in 2022. LabubaRAT malware infiltrates Windows systems while posing as NVIDIA software

LabubaRAT is a newly identified Rust-based remote access tool (RAT) that disguises itself as NVIDIA software to facilitate operations on Windows systems. It establishes a reusable foothold for hands-on activity and can profile the host system, identify security tools, execute commands, transfer files, capture screenshots, and proxy network traffic. LabubaRAT retrieves its configuration at launch via command-line arguments or environment variables, allowing operators to specify parameters like the command-and-control server and API key at runtime. It maintains local state in a SQLite database and supports communication through HTTPS polling, Microsoft Edge WebView2, and DNS tunneling. The malware includes capabilities for command execution, file handling, and establishing persistence through a Windows Run registry key. The entry point for the attack is an executable named nvidia-sysruntime.exe, which masquerades as NVIDIA’s container runtime toolkit. LabubaRAT conducts thorough profiling of the host, checking for installed browsers and security products, and gathers information on the system's specifications. Blackpoint Cyber has shared indicators of compromise to help detect LabubaRAT activity.
