Gaelco, a Spanish video game label from the 1990s, is known for its unique arcade games, including World Rally, Thunder Hoop, and TH Strikes Back. QUByte Interactive is set to revive Thunder Hoop and TH Strikes Back, launching them on Steam on October 8. Thunder Hoop features a genetically engineered hero fighting mutants unleashed by Dr. Genbreak, offering hand-blasting action and imaginative storytelling.

Microsoft doesn’t think Surface needs to compete with MacBook Neo: “We do not have to play in every field”

Brett Ostrum, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Surface, stated that Microsoft has never shipped a gaming PC and has allowed original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to cater to the gaming market. He mentioned that Microsoft was aware of the upcoming MacBook Neo and chose not to compete directly in that space, as OEMs like Dell and ASUS already provide viable alternatives. Microsoft has received feedback from various stakeholders about Surface's absence in this competitive area but maintains that it does not need to compete in every market. The Surface lineup has been categorized into three tiers: Entry Premium, Premium, and Ultra Premium, with the Entry Premium starting at over ,000. This shift reflects changes in the market and leadership within Surface. The Surface Laptop Ultra is set to be unveiled on October 7.

Google Calendar now shows three time zones at once

Google Calendar now supports the display of three time zones simultaneously on the web, allowing users to view them side by side in Day, Week, and Custom multi-day views. This feature began rolling out on September 25 and is available for Google Workspace, Workspace Individual, and personal Google accounts. The update includes enhancements to the Find a Time scheduling screen, where users can assign custom labels to each time zone. Rapid Release users will see the update within 15 days, while Scheduled Release domains will start on October 12. No admin switch is required to activate this feature.

Windows 10 is more stable than Windows 11 in 2026, data shows

Windows 10 has maintained stability by focusing solely on security updates since support ended in October 2025, avoiding new feature rollouts. Users satisfied with Windows 10's features may prefer to stay with it for stability. Windows 11 users facing instability can roll back updates or use the Known Issue Rollback feature to revert problematic non-security features.

Purchase a new or refurbished PC, especially if the current device is six or seven years old. 3. Enroll in extended security updates through methods such as syncing with a Microsoft account, redeeming rewards points, or paying a fee, valid until October 2027. There has been an increase in scams related to Windows 10, with fraudulent popups and calls misleading users about their operating system's status. Microsoft will not contact users unexpectedly regarding expired systems. Users should check their PC's eligibility for Windows 11 using the "PC Health Check" app and seek professional help if needed.

Windows 11 KB5124010 update released with 46 changes and fixes

Microsoft has released the KB5124010 September 2026 non-security preview update for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, introducing 46 enhancements, including improvements to Bluetooth functionality and the ability to remap the Copilot key. This update is optional and focuses on quality improvements without security fixes. Key features include support for Emoji 17.0, a new accessibility setting for maximizing app windows, and a recovery remote management plug-in. Bluetooth issues have been addressed, including crashes related to audio streaming and microphone compatibility. Users can remap the Copilot key to function as the Right Ctrl or Context Menu key. The update elevates Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2 devices to builds 26200.9550 and 26100.9550, respectively. Other highlights include the ability to use slideshow wallpapers across multiple desktops, enhanced gesture controls for precision touchpads, and a Camera roll backup feature for OneDrive. Microsoft has fixed a known issue with the File History backup feature and removed the PC-to-PC Migration tool, recommending Windows Backup instead. KB5124010 is the last preview update for Windows 11 24H2, which will reach end of support in October 2026.
