Halo: Campaign Evolved is Now Available in Early Access

Halo: Campaign Evolved, a remake of Halo: Combat Evolved, is in early access on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. The Premium Edition is priced at .99, with the base game available for Game Pass subscribers. Multiplayer supports up to four players with cross-platform play, and weapon spawns scale with player count. New missions, Operation: Meteorite, feature Master Chief and Sergeant Johnson, set a year before the original game. Visuals are enhanced in 60FPS Performance mode, and gameplay changes include the removal of health kits and the addition of a sprint button and third-person play. This is the first Halo title on PlayStation, with cross-play and cross-progression. The global launch is scheduled for July 28, 2026, with availability on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass at launch.

GTA: Vice City gets free DLC-sized story content ahead of GTA 6 launch

Darkest Dungeon—the original—is getting surprise DLC in August

Darkest Dungeon is set to expand with a new DLC titled The Fire's Edge, releasing on August 18th. This DLC introduces two new hero classes, the Duelist and the Runaway, along with new Trinket mechanics and three additional districts. The Duelist is a complex damage dealer, while the Runaway features a new Burn damage type. Both heroes are re-envisioned from their appearances in Darkest Dungeon II. The game has received an 88% review score and won the "Best RPG" award in 2016.

5 Classic PC Games That Are Unplayable Today

"Dune II," released in 1992, is credited with laying the foundation for real-time strategy games, featuring base-building and military maneuvers on the planet Arrakis. It has not been re-released due to licensing issues after Westwood Studios closed in 2003. It has not been optimized for modern platforms following the acquisition of Lionhead Studios by Microsoft, limiting access to those with original discs.

You can now get Nintendo Switch’s rarest Mario game cheaper on PC
