The latest WSL update includes a newer Linux kernel version, v6.6, which allows Microsoft to remove some out-of-tree patches. The update also includes new x86 and ARM64 configs, as well as various sets of patches from upstream. The update is currently only available through GitHub and will be coming soon to the stable release of WSL.
