Capcom released Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter: Wilds, addressing a shader compilation issue that caused high CPU loads and performance problems for PC players. The update shifts shader compilation to the initial launch phase, improving performance without requiring manual shader cache deletions. It also introduces two new monsters and follows previous updates that increased game difficulty and included a crossover character, Akuma from Street Fighter 6. Despite earlier negative feedback and performance issues, the update has led to a resurgence of player interest and returning players.

Wreckfest 2's early access launch was modest, but developer Bugbear has been refining the game since its debut. The initial content update in May expanded the roster of cars and tracks. The latest major patch introduces more vehicles, including a graffiti-adorned motorhome and a new sedan called the Cardinal, along with enhancements to the game's physics. The update features a working crane with a grab claw that poses a threat to drivers. Significant adjustments have been made to tree collisions, collision dynamics, car handling, and surface physics. The damage model has been refined, with cars now losing panels more easily and recalibrated damage based on game difficulty. Racing expert Phil Iwaniuk noted the enjoyable core gameplay and the unique scoring system for contact in races.

Windows 10 will reach its end-of-life status by the end of 2025, leaving users vulnerable to cyber threats unless they upgrade. Flyby11 is a tool that enables users to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 by bypassing Microsoft's system requirements, allowing installation without checks for TPM 2.0 or specific CPU models. It can also patch USB installation drives for clean installs on unsupported PCs. However, it requires the POPCNT instruction, which has been standard in processors since around 2010; if a PC lacks this feature, Windows 11 will not boot. While Flyby11 offers a way to receive security updates, it may lead to instability and performance issues, particularly on older hardware. Exploring Linux distributions is suggested as an alternative for users with aging PCs, as they are optimized for older hardware and provide long-term support.

Capcom is preparing a significant update for Monster Hunter Wilds to address performance issues, including adjustments to VRAM usage and corrections in the Graphics settings. The patch notes indicate enhancements such as the return of monsters and new equipment, but players remain skeptical about the effectiveness of these changes. Since the game's launch in February, many players have reported persistent crashes and texture problems, leading to a negative reception reflected in recent reviews on Steam, where only 14% of feedback in the past month has been positive. Despite these challenges, earlier titles in the Monster Hunter franchise have seen a resurgence in sales over the past year.
