Origame Digital unveiled the first trailer for their upcoming horror game, Penguin Colony, at the Six One Indie Showcase. The game features a narrative inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness, told from the perspective of a penguin. Lenval Brown, known for his narration in Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, will perform in the game, enhancing its atmospheric storytelling. Players will navigate a lost city in the Antarctic, encountering a penguin drawn to a mysterious flare and capable of hearing cries for help from a character affected by ancient beings. The game explores themes of madness and alien encounters. Origame Digital previously won accolades for their debut title at GDC 2021. Penguin Colony currently has no set release date, but players can add it to their wishlist on Steam.

Bushiroad Games, in collaboration with Frontwing, will release the visual novel "Perennial Dusk: Kinsenka" for PC in 2025, supporting English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. The narrative, crafted by Yukito Urushibara and illustrated by Saine, follows young characters in a world of perpetual twilight as they face trauma and cruelty. The protagonist, Tachibana Sai, cannot feel emotional pain and seeks to protect his sister while becoming involved with Benio Matsuri, a girl from a family of Maledict Exorcists. The story unfolds in an apartment building called Maison sans Nom, featuring various characters, including Kanbara Tatsuki, Tsukahara Ao, Ando Meme, Kirishima Tsuyu, Kandori Yozora, and others, each with their own struggles. The main staff includes Yukito Urushibara for planning and story, Saine for character design and art, and Fuminori Matsumoto and Hitoshi Fujima for background music. The theme song is titled “Anata no Kioku no Naka de” (“In Your Memories”), performed by Mao Uesugi.

Minecraft is set to launch a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired Table Top Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) titled "Minecraft: Roll for Adventure: The Temple of the Charged Creeper," crafted by Matt Forbeck, in July 2025. Players will embark on a solo adventure to battle illagers and rescue a village. The game will include four dice, an adventure book with a bestiary and locations, a removable character sheet, and a quick reference guide. Pre-orders are available now. Minecraft has over 170 million monthly active users and has expanded into various merchandise, including a movie set to debut in 2025.

Matt Forbeck, a New York Times bestselling author and lead designer of the Marvel Multiverse RPG, has partnered with his son Marty to create a new tabletop adventure titled Minecraft: Roll for Adventure: The Temple of the Charged Creeper, which is now available for pre-order. The game features two six-sided dice, four accompanying dice, a removable character sheet, and a rules reference. The adventure is set in a village besieged by illagers, where players must uncover and neutralize the threat from the Temple of the Charged Creeper. This project builds on Forbeck's previous work, including his 2020 novel Minecraft Dungeons: The Rise of the Arch-Illager. The hardcover edition is set to be released in July 2025 and is currently available for pre-order on the Penguin Random House website.
