Minecraft Bedrock Drops Huge New Update Adding Pig Variants and More

Mojang Studios has released update version 1.21.60 for the Bedrock version of Minecraft, introducing two new pig variants: Warm Pig and Cold Pig, which spawn in specific biomes. The update includes new falling leaf particles for all leaf blocks, changes to crafting recipes for lodestones, accessibility improvements, and various gameplay adjustments. Pale Gardens will generate more frequently, and several bugs have been fixed, including issues with camera movement and mob behavior. The update also refines the world spawn point algorithm, introduces a profanity filter for Windows users, and updates the user interface and achievements. The update is being rolled out incrementally across platforms, excluding Nintendo Switch, where availability may vary.

Minecraft Snapshot 25W06A Adds New Chicken Variants, Dry Grass, Cactus Flower Block and More

Mojang has released Snapshot 25W06A for Minecraft, introducing new features including Warm and Cold chicken variants found in their respective biomes, while original models are now called Temperate Chickens. New eggs have unique spawning capabilities: Blue eggs yield cold chickens, Brown eggs produce warm chickens, and white eggs remain for temperate variants. The update also adds a new flower that grows in desert and badlands biomes, which can spawn naturally or be placed by players, and two new forms of dry grass, both short and tall, that can be used to feed sheep, compost for Bone Meal, or as a fuel source. Players can download the snapshot via the Minecraft launcher.

Minecraft now has cold and warm cow variants to join the pigs in beta

Minecraft's beta version has introduced new pig variants adapted to cold and warm climates. Cows will also receive cold and warm variants, with the cold variant inspired by highland cows and the warm variant featuring a deeper shade of brown. The update includes a firefly bush that glows near water and can be planted for a sparkling effect, as well as a new ordinary bush in lush forest biomes and new ambient sounds in desert environments. These features are available in the Minecraft: Java Edition's snapshot beta, with plans for the Bedrock beta to include them soon. Bedrock players currently enjoy crunchy leaf litter and decorative wildflowers introduced with the pig variants.
