Android Automotive 15 introduces several enhancements, including the ability to stream audio from the vehicle to Bluetooth headsets, allowing users to select their wireless headphones as audio output devices, though only one active media stream can occur over Bluetooth at a time. An app dock feature enables users to pin favorite applications for quick access, and an ambient view feature allows for unique displays on head unit screens when not in use. The update also includes "Wi-Fi hotspot persistence," which maintains the vehicle's hotspot between driving sessions, and enhances radio support by integrating HD and DAB radio standards.

The latest Canary branch of Windows 11 introduces a feature that allows users to pin Windows Search results directly to the taskbar. Users can pin frequently used applications by searching for them in Windows Search, clicking and holding the result, and dragging it to the taskbar. Microsoft is also working on improving the Start menu, and users can explore third-party applications like Start11 or StartAllBack for additional customization.

Microsoft is enhancing the taskbar experience in the upcoming Windows 11 2024 update by reintroducing the ability to pin applications and allowing users to close applications directly from the taskbar. The "End task" feature can be activated by navigating to Settings > System > For developers and toggling the option on. Once enabled, users can right-click on an application icon in the taskbar to terminate it directly, improving workflow and control over applications. By default, this feature is deactivated, limiting users to closing applications through the X button or the right-click menu, which only shuts down the visible window.
